## Moroccan Treasury Taps Cash Surplus, Raises 3.7 Billion Dirhams

**One-Day Repo Placement Attracts Investors at Low Rate**


Morocco’s Treasury and External Finance Directorate (DTFE) successfully placed a significant cash surplus on Tuesday. The operation totaled 3.7 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD).  

The repo placement was subscribed for a single day, with investors flocking to the offering.  A weighted average rate of 2.45% secured the Treasury’s funds, according to a DTFE statement.

**Cash Invested Across Three Operations**

The Moroccan Treasury and External Finance Department (DTFE) injected MAD 3.55 billion into the economy Wednesday, deploying the funds across three separate investment operations. 

**First Investment: Repurchase Agreement at 1.78%**

The first operation, valued at MAD 1.85 billion, utilized a repurchase agreement and secured an interest rate of 1.78%, according to a DTFE press release.  

 **Second Operation Follows Suit**

A second repurchase agreement, also worth […], was launched as part of the strategy.
